Understanding Timecode

 In your own words, explain what timecode is to someone who has no idea. What is it? Why is it so important for editing video?

In my own words, I think that time code is the name to control and manage the sound and clip when editing a video, its code is "hours, minutes, seconds and frames" separating and controlling those, basically being a very important part when editing a video, to coordinate every single clip step by step very organized and very helpful, because is like a guide when editing to know how and what to add.
